summary-of-summer-learning
What I've learnt?
In my perspective, I wasted a summer vacation once again. Not only did I fail to complete the plans that I had decided previously, but also learnt nothing. I have no idea how I wasted my time, so here, I will list them all below to show what I've learnt and done.
- Complete Professional Awareness Placement on May 23rd and the thesis.
- Build up my blog website based on Tencent Cloud and WordPress on June 14th.
- Participate in LanQiao Cup C/C++ National Programming Contest (div.B) on June 18th and won the third prize fortunately.
- Host HAUE School of Computer Science ACM Club Summer Training twice which is about BFS & DFS Algorithm on June 17th and Extended Euclidean Algorithm on July 23rd.
- Participate in Codeforces, AtCoder and AcWing's Contests several times and wrote editorials for each round in July, as training for myself for the coming CCPC in the new term.
- Learn about basic DP (Dynamic Programming) in August, and host freshman's training about loop in C/C++ programming.
You see, it looks not bad, right? But I don't think so, because I still know nothing about engineering projects in computer science. It was supposed to be like that I would have learned Django and finished a web app, but the truth is that I haven’t even learned Python yet.
So, that is the problem. It may seem like I have had a busy or fulfilling vacation, but I have benefited little from what I did. To be honest, I should have done the things according to plan, but I deviated from it.
About the New Term
Anyway, the summer holidays have passed. There is no need to regret the wasted time—just look forward and head on.
So, here is my plan for the coming term (I'm not sure I will do all of these, just assume it):
- Participate in CCPC.
- Learn Git, Docker on Linux.
- Learn Python and Django and make a web app using them.
- Learn Java (if time permits).
- Learn Data Structures and Algorithms seriously and deeply.
- Learn Intermediate Algorithms (Lessons powered by @yxc).
